Month-Long Art Challenge Event
Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary is Ecstatic to Present Our First Annual Art Pack April Event!
Ever heard of Inktober, MerMay, or Sketchtember? Each is a month-long art challenge to inspire, engage, and excite participants from all over the world! Wonderful drawings, paintings, sculptures, and more have been created in response to these unique events.
Now, Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary is offering the same!
Art Pack April is a fun, creative way to support our rescues at Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary through artistic expression. By participating, you are donating your design to Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary to be used as limited-edition merchandise, which, when sold, directly benefits our animal rescues by offsetting food, medical, and enrichment costs.
How Does It Work?
For each week in April, a new prompt will be the point of inspiration for you to create a unique piece of art. All 2-D mediums are acceptable, and all ages and skill levels are welcome and encouraged to participate!
Whether you post your art piece on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter, be sure your post is public so we can see it! Also, feel free to send your submission directly to the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary Team via a direct message through Facebook or Instagram.
At the end of each week, one winning piece will be selected by the Team and shared on Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary’s Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts. Entries will be judged based on the art’s relation to and interpretation of the prompt, the artist’s consideration and representation of Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary’s mission and motto, “Wild animals are not pets,” and unique style.
At the conclusion of Art Pack April, each winner will receive the 4 selected pieces as unique stickers. The winning creations will also be published in our Fall/Winter issue of The Howling Reporter, our bi-annual news magazine, and posted on our website. Winners will also have the opportunity to purchase the specialty merchandise at a discounted price, starting in June and throughout the end of September of 2020.
The Wild Spirit Team, both staff and volunteers, are not permitted to participate in the Art Pack April event. Any submissions by a Team member will be immediately disqualified.
Week 1 Prompt: Born to be Wild – Share on social media between April 1st through April 7th.
Week 2 Prompt: Vixen Scream – Share on social media between April 8th through April 14th.
Week 3 Prompt: Surreal Singing Dogs – Share on social media between April 15th through April 21st.
Week 4 Prompt: Full Moon – Share on social media between April 22nd through April 28th.
I think this is Great I have a few children here that I know would Love this and it will teach them a lot too!! I want to get some for them I’m going to talk to them about it!!
