Standard Tours
OPEN THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY • 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM FROM MARCH THROUGH DECEMBER ONLY
NEW! Educational Encounters
After any of our tours, it may be possible to have an encounter with one or more of our more social animals.
These encounters are good for helping the animals to experience new things, and build their trust and understanding of humans. Encounters are great for humans, too, as you will have an opportunity to learn more about these animals by experiencing them, directly.
NOTE: We make every effort to have these experiences after each of our scheduled tours, and they are completely free. Encounters require specially trained personnel and may not be possible on some occasions. Also, please understand, animals are free to choose who they interact with, so we can’t gurantee that you’ll actualy have an opportunity to directly interact.
FREE EVENT – Ask your tour guide if an Encounter is possible when you begin your tour!
Self-Guided Tours
Available March 1st – December 31st
These tours are an excellent opportunity for our guests to enjoy the sanctuary at their own pace, and learn through the wonderful educational signs present throughout the lower compound. You’ll have access to the same enclosures present on our Standard Tours, including wolves, wolfdogs, foxes, domestic dogs, and New Guinea singing dogs. Unfortunately, our coyotes aren’t visible to Standard Tour guests, due to their discomfort with strangers. You’ll have access to our picnic areas, and our brand new educational building that features hands-on and interactive learning.
If you arrive prior to the start of a Guided Tour, you are welcome to walk around while you wait for the Guided Tour to start.
Self-Guided tours are available during hours our gift shop is open:
Thursday through Sunday
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
$15 adults/$10 children 12 and under, seniors, and military veterans.
Children 2 and under are free.
Guided Tours
Available March 1st – December 30th
We offer Guided Tours twice a day led by one of our Animal Caretakers, one at 12pm and the other at 3pm. This option is perfect for guests who wish to learn about our rescue’s background and ecology, as well as the history of wolves in America and the impact of misrepresentation. You’ll also learn about each of our species and have the opportunity to ask questions. Each of our Caretakers has their own experiences they can share with you, given they work almost daily with these rescues.
This tour takes about an hour or so, determined by the number of questions and level of interest of the tour guests. You are welcome to wander around the lower compound on your own, prior to the start of each of the Guided Tours, and after the noon tour.
Guided Tour availability:
Thursday through Sunday
Noon and 3:00 PM
$15 adults/$10 children 12 and under, seniors, and military veterans.
Children 2 and under are free.
