STANDARD TOUR ~ Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary offers guided standard tours six days a week, four times a day. Currently, we do not allow guests to walk around unescorted, so you must join a guided tour to see our rescues. Tours range in length from roughly 45 minutes to as long as 1 1/2 hours depending on the size and age of the group, the interest of the guests, and activity of our rescues. You will start your tour on the patio of our century-old log cabin and then take the fun-filled, educational walk with one with our knowledgeable tour guides. Many of the animals will approach the fence allowing you to get great photos. Topics that are covered on the tour include:
- History of our sanctuary and our mission
- Wolf, dog, and wolf-dog and other canine behaviors and characteristics
- Why wolves and wolf-dogs make poor pets
- How we care for our rescues
The tour is about 1/4 of a mile round-trip on a gravel and dirt path with some hills. Check the weather so you bring the right kind of clothing and supplies, and feel free to call us with any questions. 505-775-3304
