Alice

Alice was given her name the first day she came to the Sanctuary. At first we planned on changing it at some point, but it seemed much too fitting and she learned it very quickly. During her early days at the Sanctuary, Alice was constantly the most reserved of the litter as well as the most easily spooked. While other puppies would trample on one another for attention, Alice typically kept to herself and preferred to be left alone. She did, however, always play with her brother Thunder-Bob the most. Right before the puppies moved outside, we noticed that Alice was easily frightened by noises such as opening doors, items falling on the ground and the sound of the TV. She also seemed to be nervous around humans approaching her and picking her up, so extra work was spent with her before the big move.

Alice is a very sweet girl, and the largest of the three Arctic females. Now, Alice shows no shyness whatsoever and while still independently entertained, she is typically the one to rile the other girls up for a wrestling match, and when not given enough attention for a day or so, will demand to be taken for a walk or a visit to Angel's homestead. Although she is still not as interested in attention as many of the other puppies, she is becoming increasingly cuddly and has been known to suddenly get up from laying down, trounce over and plop into a person's lap when she does decide she would like some attention. Alice is also extremely intelligent and observant. She was the first puppy to climb out of the pre-enclosure playpen, as well as the first to learn her name. She knows her name so well, that right now, she will come running full speed when she hears it in the hopes of a special treat.

Alice is an Arctic wolf.
